Jim's financial services career began in 1980 with the Principal Financial Group in Memphis, TN.  His roles with Principal included agent, unit manager and trainer.  In 1987, Jim was recruited by Jackson Hill and joined Equitable as the Advanced Underwriter and trainer.

In 1990 Jim accepted a training and advanced underwriter position on Equitable's Southern Operations staff in Atlanta, GA.  During the period from 1993 through 2008, his accomplishments include achieving a 20% production increase among new AXA associates by creating and delivering a new hire launch and development program.  He also achieved 26% and 24% production increases among second and third year associates respectively by creating and delivering a program that was focused on improving prospecting and selling skills.  Jim designed and delivered a program that was focused on improving field managers' coaching skills and increasing sales.  He successfully led teams that analyzed field office performance, made recommendations for improvement, and implemented solutions that increased recruiting and production.  Jim was Vice President for New Hire Launch and Development and responsible for Management Development when he retired from AXA in November of 2008. 

In January, 2010, Jim was recruited by Jackson Hill to join the Hill Financial Group, LLC/Strategic Planning Group as Director of Training.  

He and his wife Nancy live in Acworth.  Jim and Nancy's son, Patrick, his wife Kelley, and their three children live in Lawrenceville, GA.
