Jackson was born in Chickamauga, Georgia.  After graduating from West Georgia University with degrees in Political Science, Management and Economics, he worked as a consultant for his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega (ATO).  He joined The Equitable/AXA in 1976.  From 1976 to 200l, Jackson served in numerous sales and management capacities from Agent to Senior Vice President of the Midwest, Western and Southern Regions.  In 2003, Jackson formed Hill Financial Group, LLC serving as President and in 2004 merged with Strategic Planning Group.  In November 2009, Jackson became the Managing Partner of Hill Financial and Strategic Planning Group.

Jackson is a member of Church of The Apostles where he serves as a Vestry Member and Rector's Warden in 2012. He is also active with The Lovett School, Cherokee Town and Country Club and Young Life of N.W. Atlanta. Additionally, Jackson serves as Vice-Chairman on the Board of Theological Horizons in Charlottesville, Virginia and is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees at The State University of West Georgia. He and his wife of 30 years have three children. 

Jackson is a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Life and Qualified member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He holds FINRA licenses Series 1, 7,  24, 26, 62, 63 and 65.  Currently, Jackson, holds professional memberships in GAMA, NAIFA, MDRT and the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
